Built along with the owners, this 6 BHK house stands atop a mound, amidst their farmland.

With a full attic on top covering 1600 sq.ft., the house comprises both,

functional as well as aesthetic needs of the users.

A simple hipped roof, accommodates the attic extending onto the entrance veranda. An extension of the roof is added to the North, with a dormer to let in the diffused light.

Most of the area is covered in the attic. Even with just enough of head room near the walls,the space is well utilised for storage.

This also adds to the thermal comfort of the spaces below.



reuse of materials



The basalt stone used in the coursed masonry work was retrieved from an old structure.



Bay windows



Providing built-in seats and additional opportunities for cross ventilation.
